About the role:
CaptivateIQ is ready to invest in a new product and is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead our efforts of going 0->1 and launch something new. We have a current thesis of the direction we want to go, but beyond that, we see you as leading the charge. You will become an expert in the space, work closely with a product design & engineering team to identify what a minimum sellable & viable product is, as well as set the tone for the team's culture. You'll tirelessly work with prospects and customers to refine our point of view, including recruiting design partners and leveraging mutually beneficial relationships with them, and you'll work cross-functionally to create a go-to-market motion that leads us to a successful product launch and potentially a new business line.

Ideal candidates have an entrepreneurial spirit and experience or a willingness to dive into ambiguity and relish opportunity, with a desire to heavily influence our company's strategic viewpoint.

Responsibilities:

  • Become the product leader of one of our new product teams by relentlessly learning about the space and what user needs exist in order to create roadmaps that are easy to buy into and understand.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders across sales, marketing, finance, and customer experience to create & execute against a go-to-market strategy.
  • Build empathy for customer personas by consistently talking to various stakeholders, building design partner relationships, and spending lots of time in our application and in other related tools, leveraging data insights to arrive at your own hypotheses that you can validate and that uplevel the team's strategy and execution.
  • Own outcomes and be a champion for reporting on how we're doing and what should be prioritized.
  • Track industry trends and become a thought leader in the space to ensure we develop solutions that are differentiated from the competition.

Requirements:

  • Experience starting your own venture OR 2+ years of product management experience at high-growth, product-driven companies combined with 2+ years in revenue or sales operations and/or FP&A and/or consulting related roles OR 4+ years of product management experience.
  • Experience leading substantial product releases from 0 to 1.
  • A do-what-it-takes attitude to ensure your product and team are successful.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate customer needs and distill them into clear requirements for product, design, and engineering teams.
  • Deep empathizer that can build relationships with design partners and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • A great partner that knows how to balance focusing the team while also having fun and building a great culture where people want to work together.
