Credit Risk Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION
As part of Risk Management and Compliance, you are at the center of keeping JPMorgan Chase strong and resilient. In this role as an Analyst in the Credit Risk function, you'll identify, measure, limit, manage, and monitor credit risk across our businesses. J.P. Morgan's Wholesale Banking business (Corporate & Investment Bank and Commercial Bank) is a global leader across banking, markets and investor services. Wholesale Credit Risk assesses, permissions, and manages credit and counterparty risks on an industry, client, geographic, and transaction basis. Credit Risk is independent within Corporate Risk Management, reporting to the firm's Chief Risk Officer (CRO). Our practices are designed to preserve the independence and integrity of decision making. The teams are generally organized by industry and work closely with coverage and product groups to support business needs. The Analyst will utilize their superior analytical skills, combined with credit and industry knowledge, to make and support credit decisions for a portfolio of clients. They collaborate across credit risk and the business teams to meet client credit requests, while balancing the risk-return needs of the Firm. They constantly monitor their portfolio to accurately assign risk ratings to clients and facilities, while ensuring a robust culture of compliance is adhered to at all times.

1. Conduct credit analysis and help a deal team seek approval for lending and trading related transactions, including operating exposures, individually or as part of a deal team.
2. Create written credit approval documents, which include the spreading and presentation of historical financial statement information and the related financial analysis, as well as projections of future cash flows for large corporate borrowers.
3. Develop a well-informed and forward-looking view of the business, financial and risks associated with a company and sector.
4. Manage and monitor a portfolio of client credit exposures, across industry classes, on an ongoing basis.
5. Participate in negotiating, finalizing, and executing documentation for loans and derivatives.
6. Review and assign risk ratings and maintain updated credit research on their portfolio of clients.
7. Work with Investment Banking Coverage, Commercial Banking Coverage and Global Corporate Banking on allocation of capital for clients; maintain threshold and industry limits.

1. Economics Degree or equivalent with strong interest in Finance /Advanced student in any Economics Degree.
2. Outstanding verbal and written communication, along with strong interpersonal skills.
3. Advanced English Level.

1. Academic training in the principles of accounting, corporate finance, capital markets products, and macroeconomics.
2. Ability to work well in a team environment.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
