Logistics Tracking Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Tracking Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the supply chain process, ensuring efficient shipment coordination and timely deliveries while maintaining exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shipment Monitoring: Track air and sea shipment arrivals, updating estimated arrival dates to keep customers informed.
- Daily Prioritization: Define daily priorities for customs clearance and goods collection, aligning with client facility needs.
- Customs Clearance Coordination: Provide clear instructions to customs brokers to ensure goods are cleared and ready for loading as planned.
- Transport Scheduling: Communicate priority shipments to transport providers, ensuring resource availability at the correct collection time.
- Delivery Oversight: Monitor deliveries to ensure they are executed as planned, including coordination for after-hours, weekend, or holiday deliveries when required.
- Container Management: Monitor container freetime deadlines, notify clients of potential extra costs, and coordinate timely container returns to avoid demurrage fees.
- Shipment Processing: Manage pre-alerts and commercial invoices from logistic providers, updating systems with relevant shipment information.
- Cost Optimization: Control chargeable weight ratios, container saturation, and demurrage to improve delivery efficiency.
- Strategic Support: Provide dashboards and performance reports during customer meetings, offering insights on delays, extra costs, complaints, and improvement opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields.
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain operations, freight forwarding, or control tower environments.
- Strong knowledge of international logistics, including air, sea, and customs operations.
- Proficiency in supply chain management tools and platforms.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on operational accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with CargoWise is a plus.
