Technical Lead Cloud Architecture

We are seeking an experienced Leader with 12 to 15 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in Spring Boot Java and Spring Framework along with domain expertise in Medicare & Medicaid Claims and Payer. This hybrid role requires a dedicated professional who can work effectively in a day shift without the need for travel.

Location: Phoenix, AZ, USA (Remote) preferably residing in EST and CST time zones

You must be legally authorized to work in USA without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Responsibilities:

  1. Create business-aligned architecture roadmaps and solution strategies for differentiation, agility, and cost optimization.
  2. Create and execute technology roadmaps for product capabilities, ensuring alignment with new initiatives.
  3. Architect and design scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions for complex business problems.
  4. Provide thought leadership and market expertise to guide strategic investments.
  5. Develop solutions balancing short-term needs with long-term vision.
  6. Deliver comprehensive solution architecture aligned with strategic goals.
  7. Partner with business stakeholders for planning, road-mapping, and prioritization.
  8. Break down complex business strategies into actionable initiatives for efficient road mapping.
  9. Conduct impact analysis, support cost-benefit analysis, and financial planning for initiatives.
  10. Prepare materials demonstrating alignment with enterprise practices for Architectural Review Boards.
  11. Develop materials to promote architecture and technology strategies to executives.
  12. Work effectively with architects, scrum teams, and business partners.
  13. Provide strategic and tactical directions to delivery teams.
  14. Communicate effectively with teammates, technology partners, and business leaders.
  15. Resolve conflicting objectives and priorities positively.
  16. Work across silos to resolve dependencies and accelerate decisions.
  17. Assist in change and innovation through disruptive technology.
  18. Create and maintain architecture patterns and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  1. Between 12 to 15 years of experience.
  2. Develop and implement AI/ML and cloud architecture strategies aligned with business goals and technological advancements, designing scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions.
  3. Healthcare architecture experience, especially in Payer and Provider space, creating capability, project, and program-level solutions and implementation roadmaps.
  4. Experience in architecting solutions to migrate from on-prem to Microsoft Azure as well as Cloud native solutions.
  5. Apply expertise in cloud architecture principles to ensure seamless integration of cloud solutions into existing systems and workflows.
  6. Experience in legacy modernization from Mainframe to modern technologies.
  7. Experience using HL7/FHIR, Healthcare EDI formats.
  8. Evaluate and select AI/ML tools, frameworks, and technologies.
  9. Implement processes for continuous monitoring and improvement of AI/ML models.
  10. Strong understanding of data architecture, data engineering, and data science concepts.
  11. Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks and tools.
  12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience tackling technical challenges in fast-paced environments.
  13. Experience with Agile Product Development process; SAFE Agile certified.
  14. TOGAF certification or experience with PEAF, and/or other enterprise architecture frameworks.
  15. Up to date with the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and methodologies, and able to apply this knowledge to drive innovation.
  16. Computer Science Degree, information systems or STEM related field.
  17. Ability to work on multiple large-scale technology initiatives concurrently.
  18. Exceptional interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.
  19. Excellent analytical and collaboration skills to create innovative market leading solutions.
  20. Excellent time management, communication and presentation skills.
  21. Global team experience.

Salary and Other Compensation: Applications will be accepted until 4/4/2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $81,000 – $141,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
