Skills and Competencies

  • 1-3 years of relevant financial experience with planning and analysis processes is preferred.
  • Proficient in verbal and written English communication.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of summarizing and communicating findings and analysis.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, preferably Office 365.
  • Strong analytical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiar with basic accounting concepts and financial instruments within the FP&A area.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively, handle large datasets, and meet tight deadlines.

Education

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Statistics or other quantitative field is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior team members in executing financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes, as well as supporting ad-hoc financial projects.
  • Perform data analysis, forecasting, month-end reporting, and variance analysis to provide insights into business performance.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and variance analysis to highlight key areas of focus for management, working under moderate supervision.
  • Contribute to business planning activities, including forecasting, budgeting, and long-term strategic planning.
  • Enter forecast and budget projections into Moody's financial reporting system, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goals.
  • Build collaborative relationships across Business Planning teams to enhance financial coordination and alignment.
  • Assist in developing new reporting solutions and identifying key financial trends for management review.
  • Participate in process optimization efforts by streamlining reporting activities.
  • Support the creation of financial models, including macro-based tools, to enhance analytical capabilities and decision-making.

About the team

The Financial Analyst role has the responsibility to support various phases of the financial planning and analysis processes, including participation in ad hoc projects. This role involves handling and analysing large volumes of financial data to generate detailed reports and actionable insights. The Financial Analyst will also conduct quality reviews to identify discrepancies, assess potential risks, and communicate findings to the appropriate stakeholders. All deliverables will be reviewed by the manager and senior team members to ensure accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
