ETL/Data Engineer

Remote position (only for professionals based in Argentina or Uruguay)
We are looking for an ETL/Data Engineer to join our client's team in the sports and trading cards industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge data technologies and drive impactful data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS services, Snowflake, and dbt.
- Optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to develop high-quality data solutions.
- Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and documentation to ensure data integrity.
- Contribute to data governance best practices, ensuring compliance with security and privacy regulations.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 4+ years of experience as an ETL/Data Engineer
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with strong experience in data engineering.
- Hands-on experience with AWS data services, including: Amazon S3 (data lakes), AWS Glue Jobs/Workflows, AWS Glue Data Catalog, and Amazon Athena (querying)
- Experience working with data warehouses (preferably Snowflake).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in dbt (Data Build Tool) for transformation and modeling.
- Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
- Familiarity with Apache Iceberg for data lake management.
- Hands-on experience with Great Expectations or dbt tests for data validation.
- Strong understanding of data governance best practices.
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):
- Experience with Astronomer, a managed Airflow platform.
- Knowledge of Iceberg-Python (PyIceberg) framework for optimized data lake storage.
