About the team

Our Legal, Risk, Compliance and Audit teams ensure we're doing business the right way. They help us balance a healthy risk appetite, so we're empowered to expand our horizons. The Large Credit team works collaboratively with merchants, business development teams, relationship managers, transaction risk analysts, compliance and legal departments to support growth objectives while mitigating and managing risk. We are a dynamic and diverse team providing a significant positive impact for our stakeholders.

What you'll own

The primary responsibility of the Worldpay Credit team member is to review large credit risk exposure accounts with a focus on the merchant's credit fundamentals. Analysis is performed to ensure adequate financial strength in relation to the potential exposure generated from the payment processing relationship. As a team member, you will perform thorough financial analysis on prospective and current merchants, while collaborating with internal and external partners to mitigate and manage risk to Worldpay.

  1. Must Be Fluent in English
  2. Obtains and reviews the financial statements of merchants
  3. Performs extensive analysis of financial statements and providing an assessment of their credit profile and making supportable recommendations for exposure
  4. Effectively evaluates complex business arrangements and structures; able to dive deep into the background and operations of a merchant.
  5. Recommend and establish appropriate credit limits and collateral to minimize and manage risk; Position may be granted credit authority
  6. Communicates effectively and professionally with internal and external clients
  7. Exercises sound judgment in assessing potential regulatory and reputational risks
  8. Monitors and communicates credit concerns to management
  9. Role is hybrid and requires 2-3 days in office

What you bring
  1. Strong Business English Speaking Skills
  2. 10+ years of experience analyzing and spreading financial statements, performing credit analysis and drafting credit memos
  3. Effective communication skills; attention to detail
  4. Strong judgment and decision-making skills
  5. Self-starter, able to work independently; possesses a strong sense of ownership
  6. Ability to creatively solve problems and achieve company objectives
  7. Time management skills with ability to multitask
Preferred Additional Requirements
  1. Knowledge of merchant acquiring services and the payment processing industry
  2. Degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar formal credit training
