Platform Engineer

We are looking to expand our amazing roster with a Platform Engineer that is well-versed in SQL and Python and is located in Latin America, preferably in Argentina. As we are currently working with multiple companies on many different products, we have quite a few projects where someone like you could make a difference.

We are looking for:

5+ years of proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining infrastructure supporting software applications' deployment and operationExperience writing and optimizing SQL queries, especially when using PostgreSQL databasesExperience writing and optimizing Python 3.x focused on data processing and providing REST APIs for inter-service communication as well as for user-facing, latency-sensitive frontend applicationsFamiliarity with composing cloud architecture using KubernetesFamiliarity with event-driven and data-stream-driven architectures to combine workflows and pipelines together in a more reactive fashion over purely CRON-based triggersFamiliarity with streaming workflows to process datasets at low latencies and high resiliencyFamiliarity with data engineering and data science development tools and libraries (i.e. Pandas, NumPy, Jupyter)Familiarity with data and API engineering offerings of Amazon Web Services (i.e. Athena, Fargate/ECS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, SageMaker, Step Functions, EventBridge)Familiarity with scalable message queue and log stream systems, primarily KafkaFamiliarity with data warehousing conceptsFamiliarity with basic principles of distributed computing (able to optimize partitioning, distribution and MPP of high-level data structures)Authoritative in ETL optimization, designing, coding, and tuning big data processesExperience in Prefect, Airflow, or other workflow orchestratorsExperience in working with large databases, efficiently moving billions of rows, and complex data modelingExperience in managing data lineage, quality, and discoveryExperience with big data & concurrency technologies like PySpark, Ray, or othersEnglish level B2 / C1.Perfiles LATAM.We offer:Fully remoteLong-termFull-timeNo timezone shiftingCompensation in US Dollars
