Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Martinez, CA (Hyrbid Schedule)

Experience and Education:

  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Have existing brownfield experience
  • Experience in Electrical engineering in the Refining, Chemical, and Petrochemical industry is preferred
  • A recognized and relevant engineering degree.

Qualifications:

  • Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills, consistently delivering quality, accurate, and timely work to our client and its customers.
  • Sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of electrical engineering, as well as the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
  • Familiarity with applicable local and international standards, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
  • Competent use of electrical engineeringspecific software.
  • Proficient use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
  • Substantial technical and practical experience in electrical engineering within the same or similar industry, including working in multidisciplinary projects and teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide electrical engineering services to our client and its customers, including technical support and supervision within the electrical engineering team.
  • Deliver electrical engineering services that meet our client's, its customers', and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
  • Initiate, manage, and if required, supervise electrical engineering project requirements.
  • Perform electrical engineering services such as:
  • Participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports, and follow required checking procedures.
  • Ensure project scope clarity and ensure changes comply with project change management processes.
  • Provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Write requisitions, conduct technical bid evaluations, and write purchase orders as needed.
  • Act as the electrical engineering Lead on specific projects if required.
  • If responsible for a team:
  • Outline project requirements, actively promote workshare where appropriate, assign tasks, and supervise progress.
  • Ensure the required services meet our client's, its customers', and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, on time and within budget.
  • Proactively resolve any discrepancies between our client and its customers' requirements.
  • Stay uptodate with the latest developments and technical innovations in electrical engineering.
  • Assist and support junior personnel within the electrical engineering team if required.
  • Communicate effectively with the electrical engineering team and project stakeholders, including the customer.
  • Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.
