How you'll make an impact:
- Leading and directing UX design efforts for multiple agile teams and presenting UX designs to Clevel leadership.
- Reviewing teammates' designs and providing useful and actionable feedback based on knowledge of design best practices and familiarity with our design system.
- Reviewing implementations with Engineering, logging bugs, and following issues through to resolution.
- Proposing improvements to existing processes and systems and influencing decisions within the user experience design team.
- Recognizing tradeoffs and identifying impact/risks between alternative solutions.
- Owning the overall user experience and information architecture for our leading marketplace platform.
- Working with crossfunctional product teams to ensure proper implementation of the product vision, focusing always on simplicity and ease of use.
- Gaining a deep understanding of our users by gathering user feedback and evaluating usage and user analytics to identify new and existing opportunities for improvement.
What you'll need:
- 5+ years of experience as a UX designer, creating intuitive experiences that delight customers.
- Proficient in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to work closely and effectively with Leadership, Product Management, and Engineering teammates.
- A strong desire to collaborate with colleagues and work on broader product strategy based on your knowledge of what's going on "out there".
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Design, or a related field.
- Strong portfolio showcasing an exceptional ux process and visual design skills.
- Familiarity with accessibility guidelines and best practices.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or understanding of frontend frameworks, such as React or Angular is a plus.
