CookUnity is home to more than 100 of NYC, LA, Austin, Chicago, Atlanta, Seattle and Miami's most inspired and innovative chefs.

Through a weekly subscription, eaters can select from a diverse, ever-changing menu of hundreds of hand-crafted meals.

Our chefs create dishes that cater to a wide variety of palates and dietary preferences, so the best part of dining out can be enjoyed by everyone.


Delivering more than 1M meals per month, CookUnity is also helping improve the livelihood of working chefs, tripling their income, enabling the growth of their own teams and personal brands.

And believing that healthy food fuels stronger communities, CookUnity partners with Food Bank For New York City, the city's major hunger-relief organization, working to end food insecurity across all five boroughs.


The Role:

Key Responsibilities:

Invoice Management and Payment Processing:

  • Receive and review vendor invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
  • Match invoices with approved budgets, purchase orders, and receiving documentation.
  • Ensure proper coding and documentation of expenses.
  • Process payments in a timely manner, adhering to payment terms and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of payments made and update vendor accounts accordingly.

Vendor Reconciliation and Relationship Management:

  • Reconcile vendor statements with accounts payable records to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Communicate and collaborate with vendors to address payment inquiries and resolve paymentrelated issues promptly.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to facilitate efficient payment processing and vendor management.

Credit Card Management and Expense Policy Compliance:

  • Monitor and manage company credit cards, ensuring compliance with expense policies and budget guidelines.
  • Review employee expense reports, verifying expenses against policy guidelines and budget allocations.
  • Communicate and enforce expense policies, providing guidance and support to employees as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement of employee expenses.

Vendor Onboarding and Credit Applications:

  • Create new vendor accounts in the accounting system, ensuring accurate and uptodate information.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing and Legal teams to ensure compliance with vendor onboarding procedures and requirements.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare and distribute weekly summaries of accounts payable status to Clevel executives, highlighting key metrics and issues.
  • Generate reports on accounts payable activities, including outstanding invoices, payment schedules, and vendor performance.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and crossfunctional teams to address inquiries, provide updates, and facilitate process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Analyst or in a similar role, preferably in a fastgrowing company.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, payment terms, and invoice reconciliation.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and tools, with experience in ERP systems (such as Netsuite or SAP) preferred.
  • Familiarity with expense management software and credit card platforms.
  • Knowledge of expense policies and compliance requirements, including travel expenses and meals & entertainment budget.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and data entry skills.
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, managing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on process improvement and efficiency.
