Product Engineering
Dialpad's Product Engineering team drives the development of customer-facing features across our cloud-native products. Millions of users worldwide engage with our technology daily for effective communication.

Your role

Dialpad is in search of a skilled Senior Frontend Engineer to lead the development of our next-gen Web and Desktop experiences. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, the ideal candidate is a proactive individual aiming to deliver a top-notch, scalable frontend client using modern technologies and contribute effectively to a cross-functional team.

What you'll do
  • Create a long-term technical vision for web and desktop frontend clients, breaking down steps for shorter-term value delivery.
  • Design and build exceptional web experiences using cutting-edge frameworks like TypeScript, ensuring security, testing, and performance.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers on RESTful APIs and GraphQL schemas.
  • Work with product managers, designers, and engineers for high-quality product delivery.
  • Develop responsive UIs for all devices and resolutions.
  • Plan and build reusable components/micro-frontends for multiple products.
  • Write clean, modular code following best practices.
  • Ship small features and enhancements independently.
  • Ensure high-quality, performant, and scalable web applications.
  • Participate in code reviews and testing.
  • Constantly optimize web apps for speed and scalability.
  • Stay updated on frontend technologies and trends.
  • Mentor engineers to enhance their skills and expertise.
Skills you'll bring
  • 10+ years in frontend software engineering.
  • Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Strong background in modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Experience with state management libraries, TypeScript, and ES6.
  • Proficiency in RESTful APIs, GraphQL, HTML, and CSS.
  • Ability to create accessible web interactions following WCAG standards.
  • Experience in writing automated tests and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with agile development processes and strong debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring abilities.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with real-time communications standards.
  • Knowledge of WebAssembly, Electron, or Progressive Web Apps.
