Overview:
_Electronic Design Automation (_EDA) team.

They will also be responsible for ensuring the security and reliability of our Linux infrastructure, providing technical support, and interfacing with internal customers to provide technical assistance and resolve issues.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux systems and servers.
  • Ensure the security and reliability of our Linux infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Linux systems and servers.
  • Ensure timely resolution of high severity incidents, including communications, reporting, and tracking of followups.
  • Monitor system performance and identify and resolve performance issues.
  • Create and maintain documentation on system configurations and procedures.
  • Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Collaborate with the EDA team and other IT professionals to develop and implement new solutions.
  • Keep up to date with new technologies and best practices related to Linux system administration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Linux Admin Professional Certification is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Linux system administration
  • Solid understanding of Linux operating systems and servers
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7 & 8
  • Experience with Red Hat Satellite
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies
  • Experience with Zabbix or similar monitoring tools
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interface with customers and provide technical assistance.
  • Ability to communicate in nontechnical terms to nontechnical people.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of EDA tools from Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics, etc.
