DATA BASE ADMINISTRATOR

  • Administer and maintain multiple Oracle 12c/19c production and test databases in Linux environments.
  • Ensure the availability, performance, recovery, and security of the databases.
  • Install, configure & optimize new production databases.
  • Support disaster recovery activities.
  • Perform specific SQL Solutions development for maintenance & monitoring.
  • Develop data requirements for application/inter-application test plans and scenarios; verify test results.
  • Maintain documentation.
  • Work with application support groups to resolve system issues.
  • Research and evaluate innovative technologies to enhance enterprise processes.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in application development.
  • Provide on-call support.
  • Learn and understand ITIL frameworks.
  • Collaborate with the Application development team.
  • Establish and maintain a support environment focused on Customer Service to address customer requests and incident reports; identify root causes to decrease incident report levels.
  • Ensure records and archives are managed adequately to meet business requirements, including backup schedules.

Profile:

  • Software Engineer degree (preferably M.Sc.) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, with at least the last 3 years in a similar role and related to an industrial environment.
  • Experience in Oracle Database 12c/19c in a RAC, ASM, and Data Guard environment.
  • Proven track record of supporting 24x7 mission critical production databases.
  • Skilled in Linux shell scripting and other DBA-specific Linux skills.
  • Proficient troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with Backup and Recovery (RMAN, Data Guard).
  • Handles multiple tasks simultaneously, meets deadlines, and adjusts to changing priorities.
  • Team-player mindset, excelling in an environment that values individual skills aligned with team and company objectives.
  • Familiarity with enterprise solutions environments, development, and tools.
  • Oracle Certification is advantageous.
  • English level B2 or higher.
