The Sr. Security Engineer – IAM role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security solutions that ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our organization's IAM and Directory Services infrastructure. This role serves as a technical subject matter expert in identity management and authentication technologies within a hybrid infrastructure.

This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess security requirements, develop strategies, and architect solutions that align with industry best practices and regulatory compliance. The individual must be a motivated team player with a positive attitude, solid interpersonal skills and someone who can quickly take ownership within their area. The individual must be hands-on, work under minimal supervision and can work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

IAM Strategy Development and Implementation:

Define and implement the organization's IAM strategy, focusing on user provisioning, access controls, and authentication.

Design IAM frameworks meeting business needs and compliance standards.

Establish controls and processes for managing user identities, roles, and access privileges.

IAM Model Design and Management:

Develop strategies like Access Lifecycle Management, RBAC, and ABAC.

Implement and manage privileged access management (PAM) solutions.

Design and maintain IAM solutions, including identity lifecycle management, SSO, and federation services.

Manage identity repositories for user authentication and authorization.

Create innovative Identity Management solutions for B2B and B2C demands.

IAM Policy and Procedure Enforcement:

Collaborate with stakeholders to establish IAM policies, standards, and procedures.

Work with product and engineering teams on identity provisioning features.

Identify and propose IAM function enhancements.

General IAM Responsibilities:

Act as SME on PAM authentication platform configurations.

Drive self-service and automation in PAM provisioning.

Ensure PAM systems align with organizational standards.

Lead vendor evaluations for IAM solutions.

Security Architecture and Engineering Role (AD / DS):

Design and implement enterprise-level AD in a "cloud-first" strategy.

Secure and harden AD Services with best practices and CIS controls.

Develop, test, deploy, and document AD security controls.

Manage AD domain services and integration with Azure AD for hybrid identity.

Govern AD rights management with least privilege principles.

Maintain AD DS infrastructure.

General Security Tasks:

Manage policies and configurations in technical security platforms (e.g., Mimecast, Okta, Azure, M365).

Document and present technical architectures focused on standards, performance, and security.

Conduct R&D for continuous security infrastructure innovation.

Ensure alignment of systems and procedures with organizational policies.

Perform root cause analysis and support for service interruptions.
