THIS ROLE is based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Reporting to the Director, Compliance Officer for Medtronic Americas Region, the position of SOLA Compliance Officer involves leading the SOLA Ethics and Compliance Team. The main responsibilities include overseeing the compliance program and relevant initiatives.

A GLIMPSE INTO YOUR DAILY ROUTINE
  • Providing valuable and strategic compliance advice to the local Leadership team.
  • Ensuring understanding of Medtronic's Business Conduct Standards and other Compliance Programs and Policies, implementing necessary processes for compliance, and providing appropriate training to employees.
  • Developing and enhancing Compliance controls and procedures to align with local laws/regulations and industry codes in SOLA.
  • Maintaining adequate records and documenting compliance efforts effectively.
  • Participating in the annual risk assessment process, ensuring alignment of regional work plans with compliance risks.
  • Collaborating with Regional and key stakeholder functions to integrate compliance considerations into business processes.
  • Promoting a culture of ethical behavior and integrity throughout the organization.
  • Assisting in audit/monitoring reviews, establishing remedial action plans, and overseeing their implementation.
  • Optimizing local workflows to align with company goals and objectives.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in CA, Law, or MBA from an accredited college or university.
  • 10+ years of compliance experience with 7+ years in a managerial role.
  • Prior experience in healthcare industry compliance, particularly in medical devices.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects across various stakeholder groups.
  • Experience in working with diverse compliance environments.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Aptitude in identifying high-risk situations and providing guidance.
  • Ability to influence and implement compliance initiatives at all organizational levels.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years in a managerial role, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and 5+ years of managerial experience.
