ChampionX has an immediate need for a
Senior Treasury Analyst, located in
Buenos Aires, Argentina.

This position will support the treasury team across multiple functions including foreign exchange, letters of credit and bank guarantees, intercompany loans, receivables securitization program, capital markets, and cash management.

The incumbent will report to, and work directly with, the Treasury Supervisor.

She/he will work also work closely with our corporate treasury team in The Woodlands, Texas, and partner with the regional and local finance teams.

Maintaining strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and financial partners will be critical to the success of the position.

What You Will Do:

  • Identify new or changing currency exposures and help develop appropriate hedging strategies
  • Realtime quantitative analysis of hedging performance with a focus on identifying areas for improving program effectiveness and efficiency
  • Evaluate, monitor, and communicate bank counterparty performance
  • Support hedge accounting process, including executing hedge accounting transactions, reports and preparing journal entries for accounting groups, settlement reporting
  • Support quarterend external reporting process on disclosures related to FX and interest rate derivatives
  • Support affiliate financing via intercompany loans, including issuance of new loans, administer existing loans, perform monthend interest calculations, and provide loan report to region finance controllers
  • Support the Letters of Credit and Bank Guarantee program, including communication with subsidiary groups, relationship management with partner banks, analysis and reporting on outstanding commitments, reconciliation and fee management
  • Partner with the cash management team to support global liquidity needs of ChampionX
  • Crossfunctional collaboration with internal groups such as accounting, tax, legal counsel, and advisors
  • Other duties as assigned, which may include cash management and forecasting support, acquisition integration, and processes and procedure improvements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or another quantitative field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with basic knowledge of FX operations, hedging strategies, risk management, and associated treasury functions
  • Strong problem solving, analytical reasoning and financial modeling expertise
  • Selfstarter, able to draw solid, independent conclusions based on ambiguous information
  • High motivation and desire to learn quickly
  • Unafraid to challenge assumptions and status quo; comfortable with change
  • Must be fluent in English (written/spoken)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ERP reporting systems such as SAP, Oracle, etc.
  • CTP certification
  • Knowledge of FXAll, Reval, Kyriba FireApps, Bloomberg, and advanced analytics
  • Be able to work flexibly to collaborate across multiple different functions and workstreams
  • Excellent critical thinking skills, analytical reasoning, and financial modeling expertise
  • Ability to get into the details; can dive in and understand a problem and address it effectively
  • Selfstarter, able to draw solid, independent conclusions based on ambiguous information
  • Unafraid to challenge assumptions and the status quo; comfortable with change
  • Must be able to work in a challenging environment with tight deadlines
