Director & Actuary

We are searching for a Director & Actuary to become part of the Holdings Retail Annuities team at our Center of Excellence in Argentina.

Responsibilities include...

• Supervising and evaluating the work of up to 5 actuarial students located worldwide.
• Handling GAAP reserve valuation and financial reporting for deferred annuities.
• Clarifying reserve variances and earning analysis to the business line.
• Establishing, updating, and certifying all process documentation.
• Collaborating with various business partners.
• Taking part in the assumption setting process for annuities.
• Testing and validating regular model enhancements.
• Leading discussions with partners from diverse fields, both internal and external. This includes IT, risk management, accountants, auditors, finance, and investments.

To excel in this role, you should have...

• Completed university actuarial studies and possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant actuarial experience.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Demonstrated experience in a financial reporting position, including communicating financial outcomes to management, auditors, etc.
• Experience in adapting and operating actuarial valuation models.
• Reviewing experience studies supporting behavioral and economic assumptions and proposing updates where necessary.
• Managing junior actuaries, including task assignment, result evaluation, and mentoring.
• Experience in a matrix manager role.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Access.
